Yuasa have been manufacturing batteries for motorcycles built in the US since 1979.

Throughout the years, Yuasa has supplied more batteries for manufacturers, such as Buell, Cannondale, Excelsior-Henderson, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki and Polaris Victory, than all other battery manufacturers combined. We have always strived to exceed the needs of our manufacturers with technology that meets the demanding requirements of their motorcycles. Yuasa motorcycle batteries range from 6 volt or 12 volt high performance lead acid batteries which can be supplied in both traditional flooded designs or in absolutely maintenance-free valve-regulated designs. The low resistance separator and heavy duty plates of the maintenance-free MF valve regulated design produce 30 percent more starting power over conventional batteries.

The range of battery sizes available cover capacities from as little as 2Ah up to 32Ah.

Important Note: Always check before filling/installation that the battery will fit your bike. Put your old battery next to the new one to ensure they have the same dimensions and the terminals are in the same position. Also ensure the voltage (V) and the capacity (Ah) match.

While we make every effort to specify the correct battery for each application, we occasionally have some errors as the result of one of the following circumstances:

• Vehicles are sometimes made in different factories in different countries, and these can be sometimes fitted with batteries of different types and sizes.

• Vehicles can be ‘grey imports’ into the UK, generally from Japan, and these often do not have the same batteries as those on similar vehicles that are normally imported into the UK.

• Vehicle-manufacturers sometimes change the type of battery during a production-run, perhaps as the result of a supply-problem with the specified battery, or perhaps on the occasion of a face-lift.

For this reason, we always recommend that the customer should place the old and new batteries side by side to compare dimensions, polarities, hold-downs and performance-levels.
